Basil Varouhas

I’m excited to have joined Phillip Riley as a Principal Consultant, working across white collar contracting in the energy and renewables sector.

After nearly three decades in recruitment, I’ve learned that project performance comes down to having the right skills in the right place at the right time. I place engineering and project professionals on short to medium term contracts, bringing in the specific capability a project needs to lift efficiency and deliver the intended outcome, without the overhead of a permanent hire.

I’m part of the Phillip Riley Projects division. Based in Brisbane and working nationally, I partner with hiring managers and project professionals who value a direct conversation and a commercially sound result. Whether you’re mobilising a renewables project, backfilling a critical role or planning your next contract, I’d welcome a chat.
