Scott started his recruitment career in 2000 and has since joined two listed recruitment businesses, before establishing Phillip Riley in 2010. His renewable energy journey began when he started a Waste to Energy Project Development Company (Reform Energy Australia) and then also took Phillip Riley to market as the only dedicated renewable energy recruitment and consulting business in Australia. Today, the Phillip Riley Group has grown to a team of 30+ in Australia, with offices in Melbourne (HQ), Perth, Sydney, Brisbane, New Zealand, Northern America and Europe.

With 19 years of experience covering local and international recruitment solutions, I have gained signifcant experience across New Zealands wider energy sector, with a more recent focus on the growing renewables market. I have extensive knowledge of the distribution, transmission and generation sectors and have built up a substantial network of professionals across many engineering discplines. While my role at Phillip Riley is to lead and grow the New Zealand business, I still very much enjoy helping people and watching their career grow or change, from which I've created many long terms relationships. I have the ability to understand and interpret the differences between different company cultures and people and use this for the . Well-connected, Stuart prides himself on being a highly respected advisor to both clients & candidates. He brings a wealth of experience across the Contracting & Consulting industry and is known for successfully partnering up with clients across major companies & public sector organisations. While originally from the Netherlands, Stuart has called Australia home since 2013. Being Dutch, he has a personal experience with the Renewable Energy industry. From a young age, he would see wind-farms & off-shore wind-farms everywhere around the area where he grew up. Sustainability & Climate change were very common topics and it piqued his interest early on. He is excited about assisting the sector with the next steps, whether across Wind, Solar, BESS, Hydro or newer technologies.
