Poppy Browne

Poppy brings more than 15 years’ experience across the not-for-profit, government and human services sectors, with a career spanning senior leadership, operations, growth, community services and organisational transformation.

Before joining OnTalent, Poppy held roles with Multicultural Australia, Save the Children and the Queensland Government, leading complex service portfolios, multidisciplinary teams and significant government-funded programs. Her experience includes strategic growth and partnerships, full-cycle grants and tender management, workforce and service redesign, sustainable operational leadership, and working closely with Boards, government, corporate partners and community stakeholders.

Having spent much of her career inside purpose-led organisations, Poppy brings first-hand insight into the realities facing not-for-profit leaders, including balancing mission and commercial sustainability, navigating changing funding environments, building capable leadership teams and maintaining strong relationships with Boards, funders, staff and the communities they serve. Her career has also involved extensive work across culturally diverse communities, strengthening her ability to build trust, navigate different perspectives and work effectively with stakeholders across community, government, corporate and Board environments.

Poppy is known for her highly relational and curious approach. With a background in psychology and social work, she takes time to understand both the person and the organisation, looking beyond experience on paper to explore motivation, values, leadership style and the environment in which someone will thrive. She brings warmth, candour and strong sector knowledge to her work and is passionate about connecting talented leaders with organisations where they can make a meaningful and lasting contribution.
