About Barry
An Aussie living in New Zealand, I'm a father of 5, recruiter to many, passionate cook, rookie farmer, and recreational fisherman.
In my day job, you will find me helping others with how best to approach a job from a resume perspective, interviewing techniques and in general terms, helping candidates with framing their experience so as to maximise their potential.
When working with employers, I find I am able to conceptualise with a high degree of accuracy the technical skill and social competencies required to make a successful placement within their organisation. I really get a kick out of understanding what the client is looking for and going to the candidate marketplace and unearthing those candidates that fit the brief.
Interests
I love working in the yard with my hands. I really get a kick out of building things with timber. Coming from Western Australia originally, fishing and camping is in my blood. Getting back to basics is something I really enjoy. Chasing my 2 young children around while being available to my other three teenage children is a blast. I believe we are here to live our best life! I take time to enjoy life but remain purposeful with attaining my goals and dreams.
