YOA

YOA is a superyacht recruitment agency that connects yacht crew with employers around the world. Crew can register and create a profile to find jobs, and employers can find crew by posting jobs or submitting a job brief through its online platform.

The company is based in Wanaka, New Zealand, and was founded by Tom Aveling and Don McKee, who both spent many years working on sailing and motor yachts. Aveling is director for New Zealand and McKee is director for South Africa. YOA has agents in Europe, the UK, the USA, Australia, Central America and South Africa, and says its agents are former captains or heads of department. It reports more than 150 years of combined experience working on superyachts across the team.

YOA is a member of the NZ Marine Industry Association and was formerly known as yoaagency.com.
