Workforce Extensions

Workforce Extensions is an Australian labour hire and recruitment business run as a franchise network. Its offices are owned and operated by local franchisees, while a national office in Melbourne manages most of the back-end of running the business. It also recruits experienced recruiters who want to start their own recruitment and labour hire business under the brand.

The company supplies temporary, part-time and full-time staff to employers, and offers job seekers casual, temporary, permanent and shift work. It recruits for sectors including aged care, healthcare and medical, construction, mining and resources, manufacturing, and warehousing and logistics. Under its labour hire model, the agency takes care of the hiring process, including payroll, superannuation and tax.

Workforce Extensions was established in 1997 in the Dandenong Ranges, east of Melbourne, by Andrew Hibgame, who later franchised the offices to their managers. The business was sold in 2003 to Keith Badger and Michael McTiernan, and in 2018 to Peter Miglic and Nigel Ashton. It is a member of the Recruitment, Consulting and Staffing Association of Australia and New Zealand.
