Windpersonal

WindPersonal is a German Personalberatung dedicated to the wind energy industry. It was founded in 2010 by Felix Tobias and was, by its own account, the first Personalberatung in Germany to specialise in the wind energy sector. Its starting point is a blunt reading of the market: alongside the lack of political consistency in carrying out the Energiewende, the wind industry is being held back by a shortage of qualified specialists and managers, and it is that second problem the company devotes its energy to. Its stated aim is to advance wind energy by placing Fach- und Führungskräfte, and it summarises the mission with its own image: wind alone does not move a boat, it also needs sailors who know how to set the sails.

The company works for businesses active in wind energy that are looking for qualified new employees on permanent contracts. It sets out the professions it recruits for in detail: Servicetechniker Windenergie, technicians in remote monitoring, Projektleiter for wind farm planning, Flächenakquisiteure, and both technical and commercial Betriebsführer. Recent highlight positions have included a team leader and a senior project developer for wind energy project development, and a technical operations manager. Its wider vacancy list is dominated by Elektroniker, Mechaniker and Servicetechniker roles.

WindPersonal recruits throughout Germany, and its published vacancies are grouped by federal state, covering Baden-Württemberg, Bayern, Berlin, Hessen, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Rheinland-Pfalz and Sachsen-Anhalt, with further roles advertised as bundesweit. Beyond placement it runs a career resource for the sector, the WindKarriereBlog, with pages explaining what WindPersonal does, how the application process works and how to get started in wind energy, aimed both at newcomers to the industry and at people already working in it who want to develop further. It also publishes references from its client work.
