Wilson Grey

Wilson Grey is a London-based recruitment firm that specialises in senior hires for startups and scale-ups. It has operated as a startup search firm since 2015, when Simon Benson, now Managing Director, founded it, and it works only with early-stage and high-growth companies.

It recruits mid to senior-level talent, from experienced individual contributors to C-suite, across go-to-market roles (sales, customer success, partnerships, marketing and growth), technology roles (engineering and product leadership), data and operations. It does not recruit junior positions. Its clients are mainly in SaaS, FinTech and HealthTech, and it covers the UK and the US, with particular strength in New York and the East Coast.

The firm headhunts rather than relying only on inbound applicants. Permanent roles are handled on exclusive or retained terms, executive search is retained, and contractors and fractional hires are charged on a day-rate basis. It also offers an embedded, part-time fractional recruiter model. It says it typically delivers a shortlist within five working days of agreeing a brief and reports an 89% fill rate.
