William James Recruitment is a legal recruitment agency that works with law firms in the UK and internationally. It was founded in 2009 by CEO Paul Wingfield and is registered in England and Wales as William James Recruitment Ltd. Its head office is in Manchester, with further offices in Leeds, Birmingham and London.

The company says it places candidates at every level and across all practice areas in law, and also recruits for finance and HR departments. Roles it works on include paralegals, legal executives, solicitors and partners, in-house legal positions such as head of legal and counsel, finance roles such as legal cashier and finance director, and C-suite positions. Besides recruitment it offers executive search, M&A consulting, and an in-house branding and marketing team that helps promote jobs. Its clients include a range of Legal 500 firms.

It reports more than 5,000 partnerships with law firms in the UK and internationally, a database of over 220,000 candidates, and 60 years of cumulative legal recruitment experience across its team.
