Werfum

Werfum is a Dutch recruitment company whose slogan is that it wants everyone to have work they enjoy, and whose stated purpose is to help people find work that genuinely suits them. It says it helps candidates to an employer who values them, and that a person's craft or expertise is what counts, whether they are a specialist in construction, in engineering or in an office environment. The company recognises the frustrations it hears from candidates: not feeling appreciated, wanting to grow but being stuck, missing clarity about plans and expectations, and missing satisfaction in the work itself. Werfum answers those with three promises: work that really fits, employers who help people get better at their trade, and a clear and honest process.

The company organises its work into two streams, bouw en techniek on one side and professionals on the other, and it lists the vakgebieden it recruits for: vastgoedonderhoud, sales, de bouw, HR, installatietechniek, engineering, elektrotechniek, marketing and IT. Alongside its vacancies it publishes interviews with people placed in both streams, plus blogs and articles, and it runs its own recruitment for people who want to work at Werfum itself. Candidates can save favourite vacancies and search by vakgebied.

Werfum works from Dokter Klinkertweg 12c in Zwolle and can be reached at [email protected]. Its argument to candidates is that it looks further than a CV: it wants to know what drives someone, why they choose a particular job and what makes their working day worthwhile, because those questions are what let it find the right work. It says it understands that choosing a new job is daunting, so it shows people what something new could bring them, and that years of experience are what let it find work that gives energy rather than just a job. For employers, it states plainly that recruiting is its trade.
