Vital Element

Vital Element is a South African recruitment and headhunting agency focused exclusively on the retail and manufacturing sectors. The company specialises in sourcing leadership and specialist talent for mid-management to executive head office roles across these industries. Founded on a passion to influence and add measurable value in recruitment, the firm takes a bespoke approach to each engagement, understanding business culture and identifying candidates who strengthen organisational teams.

The agency works with both growing small and medium-sized enterprises and established businesses, dedicating time to listen to client needs and align placements with long-term business goals. Vital Element emphasises high-quality candidate screening and careful evaluation of both technical skills and career aspirations. The company considers company culture and organisational goals when assessing candidate fit, aiming to place not only the right candidate for the job but the right job for the candidate to ensure sustainable, long-term relationships.

Based in Durban, Vital Element recruits across Johannesburg, Cape Town and nationwide throughout South Africa. The company has recently launched GIGElement, a freelancing platform designed to address gaps in the South African gig economy by providing targeted matching between independent contractors and on-site or remote positions.
