Vision Legal is a Toronto-based recruitment firm that focuses exclusively on the legal talent market in Canada. It recruits lawyers and law clerks for law firms, from boutique practices to multinational corporations, and for in-house legal teams. It says it has placed over a thousand lawyers and law clerks in private practice and in-house.
The firm was founded in 2010 by Jonathan Veale, its Managing Director, a former practising lawyer. Its recruiters are former practising lawyers, law clerks and legal talent management executives, who together report 40 years of experience in legal executive search, private practice and talent management. In-house placements have included General Counsel, Legal Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer roles, and a legal support recruitment division places law clerks and other legal professionals.
Vision Legal describes its approach as consultative. It tailors each search to the client's staffing goals and looks for passive candidates as well as active ones.
