Vertex Recruit

Vertex Recruit is a New Zealand-owned recruitment agency that specialises in technology roles. It places contract and permanent staff and works with clients from start-ups to large enterprises, including product, digital and service organisations. It is based in Christchurch and serves clients across New Zealand.

The agency recruits across three areas. Software engineering covers roles such as full stack and frontend developers, platform engineering, cloud and DevOps, QA testing and solution architecture. Product and delivery covers product owners, project and programme managers, business analysts and agile coaches. Security, data and analytics covers security engineers, SOC analysts, data scientists and AI and machine learning roles.

Clients can use three service models: resource augmentation with contractors for projects, contingent recruitment for permanent hires, and a bespoke model that can blend internal and external recruitment resources. The company was founded by Ed, who has recruited in New Zealand's technology sector since 2013 and previously led recruitment at software consultancies and agencies.
