Valpas

Valpas Henkilöstöpalvelut Oy describes itself as reipas, tunnollinen ja luotettava, a brisk, conscientious and reliable partner for anyone looking for skilled workers, and more than an employer for anyone looking for work. Its services for companies are split into henkilöstövuokraus and rekrytointi, and the site also carries toimialat, referenssit, open vacancies and a page on the company's values and story. Valpas was founded in 2008 and reported turnover of 2.1 million euros in 2020.

The company knows puutarhat, teollisuus, rakennusala and puhtaanapitoala, that is horticulture, industry, construction and the cleaning sector. It says it understands what each of those jobs demands and can therefore recruit the right kind of people for each one. Through henkilöstövuokraus a client gets the right people exactly when they are needed and avoids laborious recruitment processes of its own. Jobseekers are asked to say what kind of work they dream of so the company can look at what it can offer.

Valpas is specialised in placing workers from abroad but also employs Finnish workers, and it argues that setting Finnish and foreign employees against one another is unnecessary because work needs people to do it. Its stated principle is reilun pelin leima, the mark of fair play, in everything, taking care of matters and of people so clients can sleep at night. Avo Mikone, Henkilöstökonsultti at Valpas, puts the emphasis on employees being comfortable, because then they do good work, and on giving someone who does not succeed at first a second and usually a third chance. The company is based at Satakunnantie 17, 20300 Turku, on 02 880 0750 and [email protected].
