Urban Connect is a specialist multi-disciplinary recruitment consultancy covering construction and engineering, and IT. It has offices in Manchester, London and Belfast and recruits across the UK and Ireland and internationally, offering interim and freelance, permanent and executive search services. It names preparing for AMP8 in the water sector as a key focus area.

In construction and engineering, its teams cover architecture, civil, structural and M&E engineering, cost and project management, rail and infrastructure, building surveying, project support, and sustainability and net zero. Clients include design consultancies, contractors, housebuilders, property developers and specialist sub-contractors. In IT, it covers change and transformation, digital and tech, government and defence roles needing security clearance, IT sales, and strategy and advisory, for management consultancies, system integrators, digital transformation agencies and tech startups.

Its executive search practice places senior staff in energy and power, rail and infrastructure, and the built environment. Founder Andrew Kerr is CEO and director. The company is part of the Recruitment Entrepreneur group, owned by James Caan CBE, who is chairman.
