Trousselot Talent Sourcing

Trousselot Talent Sourcing is the practice of Jorn Trousselot, who works from Leiden and sells what he calls maatwerk in recruitment, tailored recruitment. He has been helping companies find the right talent for more than 15 years, and introduces himself directly on the site as a father of four, married to Sanne, living in Leiden and the son of an entrepreneur. His argument is that recruitment is a profession in which creativity and efficiency are the keys to success, and that finding scarce talent has become steadily harder. The service splits into strategic recruitment and sourcing. For employers he draws up a plan of action, starts the recruitment process, builds a clear overview of the vacancies, sets the sourcing priorities and contributes to the employer brand, then works with the client's marketing department on creative vacancy texts and campaigns placed strategically in the market. He argues that strategic recruitment belongs in the strategic business plan, that it can prevent high staff turnover and that it shows employees their progression options in advance, which also keeps the cost of external hiring down. Sourcing is treated as a discipline of its own: with social media changing the world of work, latent jobseekers scan the socials, and he uses a range of tools to reach available or interested candidates first. Candidates get advice on presenting themselves, on the do's and don'ts of social media, and a quickscan of the CV to build an attractive profile.
