Tromppetter

TrompPetter is a Dutch company built around one sentence on its homepage: wij detacheren, we second people. More precisely, TrompPetter detacheert onderscheidende financials bij financiële instellingen of afdelingen, seconding distinctive finance professionals to financial institutions and finance departments. It was founded by Eric Tromp and Hepke Petter, who write that knowledge can be topped up and experience can be gained but specific qualities are something a person either has or does not have, so the art is knowing exactly which qualities are needed and which are present. Only then, they argue, can a perfect match be made.

The focus is the financial sector and nothing else. The founders come from the banking world themselves and say they know its challenges, its culture and its people, and they maintain a large network of finance and HR managers. Candidates are assessed through personal conversations and scientific analysis, using the tools of HeyJij, which the company says gives concrete insight into personal qualities and growth potential in a short time. Unlike other detacheringsbureaus, TrompPetter says it is not interested in a database full of possible candidates but in a select group of people with potential, so that each one can be supported intensively, including during the assignment itself and in preparation for the next step.
