Tramin Industrial

Tramin Industrial is a Canadian trades staffing and industrial services business with its head office and shop in Atikokan, Ontario. It was established in 1988 to provide contract trades personnel to the Northwestern Ontario mining industry. It began by contracting out heavy duty equipment mechanics, then received requests for contract welders, millwrights and electricians. The company chose not to specialise in a single trade, and now supplies personnel to the mining and wood industries throughout Canada.

Its staffing service is aimed at mines and wood processing facilities facing labour shortages. Roles include millwrights, mechanics, truck and coach mechanics, iron workers, equipment operators, welders, electricians, riggers, mill operators and general office personnel. Contracts are customised, have no minimum duration, and clients pay only for hours worked. The company says it pre-screens personnel, arranges mobilisation to and from site, and will hire and mobilise candidates a client is considering for permanent employment, with an extended probation period.

Alongside staffing, Tramin Industrial offers shop and construction services, including automotive and heavy duty maintenance, fabrication and machine shop work, concrete, and residential electrical work.
