Top Recruitment (Pty) Ltd

Top Recruitment is a South African recruitment agency whose promise to employers and employees alike is that it will place them first. The business is closely tied to Ian MacFarlane, whom clients name directly when they describe working with the agency, one of them dating the relationship to around 2007. The site keeps the routes simple: available positions, a hotlist and a submit your CV form sit on the homepage, so candidates and clients can both start from the same place, with a contact page behind them.

The agency divides its work into permanent recruitment, technical engineering, office support, finance, and sales and marketing. On permanent hiring it argues that making the right hire is no longer purely a case of matching someone to a technical specification and a job description, but increasingly a matter of finding someone with the same cultural aspirations and the same approach to work as the employer, who can add value to the development of a company's personality as well as to the job itself. It also handles contract and contingency recruitment, on the reasoning that a flexible workforce with the right skills suits a specific project, a particular expertise requirement or a temporary peak in resourcing.

The agency publishes its own placement breakdown, reporting that technical engineering accounts for 65 percent of its placements, office support for 15 percent, finance for 10 percent and sales and marketing for the remaining 10 percent, which puts the weight of the work firmly on the technical side. Client testimonials on the site describe it as a preferred resource for sourcing reliable staff and pick out the personal touch, the efficiency and the value in their dealings, along with an understanding of what candidate placements require within a particular industry. The agency can be reached on +27 (0)71 164 1050, while its email address is protected behind a script rather than published in the clear.
