The Johnson Group is New Zealand's premier executive recruiter to the public sector and has been a key supplier to government on the All-of-Government Recruitment panel since 2012, re-appointed in 2023 as one of the divisions of Alpha Recruitment Limited. The company was founded in 2005 and is based in Wellington. They focus on recruitment that changes people's lives, lifts productivity in the public sector, and improves outcomes for all New Zealanders.

The Johnson Group recruits for public sector management, policy, human resources, communications and marketing roles, serving both permanent and contracting placements. They have achieved the highest quality ranking within the All-of-Government Recruitment panel and fill over 82% of client vacancies annually.

The company is one of three partners involved in Victoria University's successful Skilled Migrant Programme, which helps skilled migrants who are unemployed or underemployed find employment in the New Zealand job market. About 80 per cent of programme participants go on to permanent employment.
