The Hire Project

The Hire Project is a recruitment business that places people in accounting and professional services roles, from accounts payable through to financial controller level. It was established to help small business owners, and it works on a contingency basis, so clients do not pay until the successful candidate starts.

Clients deal with one person, Zac Walsh, from brief to placement, with no account managers in between. An engagement starts with a conversation, followed by a role brief and a candidate brief. The company then searches the market and assesses candidates on what they want from their next role and how they would suit the client's environment. It delivers a shortlist of up to five candidates, each with a written brief covering skills, aims and fit.

Zac Walsh has worked in and around recruitment since 2015. He began at one of Australia's largest agricultural recruiters, then spent seven years hiring internally across aerospace, allied health and tech. The company offers a 90-day guarantee, replacing a placement that does not hold at no additional cost.
