The Governess & Co

The Governess & Co. is a domestic staffing agency that connects families in Marbella, Madrid and beyond with trusted domestic staff. It describes itself as a team of professionals who combine expertise with empathy to deliver thoughtful, discreet placements, and it addresses families who expect more, offering curated domestic staff that is expertly matched. The company matches families with reliable nannies, housekeepers and private staff, tailored to the rhythm and standards of each individual home, and says every placement is personal, practical and built to last.

Services are organised around professional childcare in Marbella and professional childcare in Madrid, housekeeping and lifestyle staff, with a guideline section for families and a separate route for candidates seeking work. The placements described in client feedback show the range in practice, covering travel nannies, holiday nannies, full time nannies, housekeepers, an estate manager and a domestic couple placement. The company takes time to understand what a household truly needs before delivering a solution that works in real life, and describes the result as care a family can count on.

The company works from Avenida Virgen del Rocío in San Pedro, and the families it has placed staff with are spread across Marbella, Estepona, Puerto Banús, El Rosario, Guadalmina and El Madroñal, with one travel nanny placement running between Marbella and Barcelona. Alongside the placement work it organises regular community events, including cooking classes, playdates, seasonal activities and family gatherings such as its Brunch and Play sessions, on the argument that children thrive when they belong to a community that extends beyond their immediate family, gaining social development, multiple role models, a sense of belonging and shared experiences. Kirsty and Timea are the two names families mention when they describe how a placement was handled. Contact runs through +34 605 366 152 and [email protected].
