The Force, which writes itself TheForce.Work, is a Rotterdam based recruitment company that supports professionals in the bouw and civiele techniek at every stage of their career, whether they are just starting out or looking for a new challenge. The company was founded on the conviction that recruitment can be more personal, more careful and fairer, and it says it looks beyond CVs and job titles when bringing people and organisations together. Two sectors are named. Bouw and civiele techniek is the core, work the company describes as visible and tangible, demanding craftsmanship, responsibility and mutual trust, where projects are not made on paper alone but by teams that think along and do what is needed to build the thing properly. Maritime work and heavy steel construction is the second, another world in which the company says visible craftsmanship, precision and responsibility make the difference. Within both it works with two candidate groups: starting professionals, who are offered guidance, access to a broad network and the chance to develop at leading companies, and experienced professionals, who are matched to demanding roles and projects that suit their expertise and ambitions.

The office is at Westplein 11 in Rotterdam. The company sets out an eight step process. A candidate signs up through the aanmeldlink and is contacted quickly for an introductory conversation about goals and ambitions. Experience, skills and ambitions are then mapped into a profile, coaching and training follow from the start, and the profile is matched against live vacancies. The company guides the application itself, from interview preparation through to negotiation on salary and terms, stays involved once the candidate has started, and holds an evaluation conversation afterwards to discuss how the job is going and where further support is needed.
