The Actuary Group

The Actuary Group, also known as TAG, is a specialist recruitment company serving the financial services sector. It focuses on executive search for mid to C-suite level appointments, with an emphasis on niche markets and senior technical roles in areas such as actuarial, underwriting, reinsurance, sales and distribution, advisory and broking services, and wealth management. It says it was created by industry insiders.

The team reports direct experience in intermediation, direct to consumer sales, pension scheme de-risking and insurance distribution. Alongside search and selection, the company offers strategic advice and consultancy support, and human resource consulting services. It works in partnership with the executive search firm Quotacom and keeps a database of professionals for searches that are not advertised.

TAG is based in Brighton. Its founder and managing director is Graeme Taylor, whose earlier career included Partnership Assurance, Just Retirement, Vitality and Sequence Financial Services.
