tekFinder is a Sydney-based recruitment business that specialises in technology hiring across software engineering, cloud, security, data and AI, and also covers machine learning, product and cyber roles. It serves startups, scale-ups and growing enterprises, supporting permanent and contract hiring. It says it typically fills senior, principal and staff level engineering roles, alongside senior leadership hires such as CTO, Engineering Manager and VP of Eng.

Its current focus is on backend systems such as Java, AWS and GCP, and on data platforms including Palantir, Databricks, Snowflake and AWS Bedrock. It works with hiring managers and talent acquisition teams, and says it has strong networks across Australia.

tekFinder started in 2018 in Bellevue Hill, Sydney. Founder Nick Shepherd began his recruitment career in the UK before moving to Australia in 2011. In 2023 he launched the charity tekFoundation, with co-founder Joni Fleischer, to connect skilled tech volunteers with charities at no charge. The company says it has partnered with over 50 charities in Australia and that every placement since 2023 supports the service.
