Tapley Search Group

Tapley Search Group is an Australian retained search and recruitment consultancy that places professionals in finance and legal roles. It specialises in restructuring, insolvency, forensics, tax and mergers and acquisitions. The company is based in Sydney and says it is 100% Australian owned and operated.

It was founded by Emma Shannon, its director, who began her recruiting career in 2000. She previously worked in-house for ASX listed corporates and professional service firms. The firm is named after her grandmother, Elizabeth Tapley. It says it has over 20 years' experience in recruitment and search.

Retained search is its approach for senior hires, with the fee paid in three stages, and it says it works on no more than three retained searches at a time. It also offers contingent recruitment for existing clients in specific circumstances, multi-hire searches to build or establish teams, market mapping, and Hogan psychometric assessments in partnership with Peter Berry Consultancy. It works with firms and candidates across Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
