Spherion is a national recruiting and staffing business in the United States that operates through a network of independent franchise owners. It says it has spent 80 years in the staffing industry, growing from a single Chicago-based office, and reports franchise offices in 35 states. Its local teams serve both job seekers and employers.

Spherion offers flexible temporary staffing, temp-to-hire and direct-hire placement. It also provides workforce management solutions, including Spherion On-Premise, where its team works onsite as an extension of a client's HR department, and Managed Staffing, where it handles the administrative and technology functions of a client's hiring process.

It recruits for administrative and clerical, customer service and call centre, light industrial, non-clinical healthcare, education support, finance and accounting, engineering and manufacturing, sales and marketing, information technology and hospitality roles. The company says it puts more than 440,000 employees to work each year and helps more than 3,200 clients annually. It also sells franchises to prospective owners.
