Special Care Nederland

Special Care Nederland BV, which shortens itself to SCN, is a detacheringsbureau in the care sector. It was founded in 2020 by Erik Hiddinga and Marjan Boudewijn, who have both worked for more than 15 years as ZZP specialised nurses on operating theatres and intensive care units across the Netherlands. In their own work they saw at close range what happens when a match is wrong: extra pressure on wards and teams that are already at their limit. That is what the company was set up to change. SCN is deliberately not a large bureau but a small team, with short lines, direct personal contact and one fixed point of contact, and it makes the point that whoever a caller speaks to has worked in care themselves.

The specialisation is narrow and clearly stated. SCN connects IC-verpleegkundigen, A-verpleegkundigen, operatieassistenten and anesthesiemedewerkers with hospitals and clinics, through detachering and flexible deployment. Client organisations get experienced professionals for the OK, the IC and other departments, quickly deployable and matched to the existing team, without long procedures. Recent vacancies published on the site include an operatieassistent for an operating team, an obstetrie- en gynaecologieverpleegkundige and a kinderverpleegkundige, the latter two for a hospital in the Den Haag region.

SCN works with hospitals and clinics throughout the Netherlands from an office at Bezuidenhoutseweg 65-95 in Den Haag, and lists its KVK number 78252334 and BTW number 861319059B01. For candidates it removes the administrative work: a clear contract, a personal portal for hours and fast payment. Its mission is to place the right person in the right position in the best working environment, looking beyond the CV at personality, values and ambitions, and combining that with its network in the care sector to build long term relationships rather than stopping at a first placement.
