Spark Recruitment

Spark Recruitment is a Sydney-based retained executive search firm that fills senior technology appointments, from specialist technical leads through to CIO, CTO and other C-suite roles. It says it was established in 2009 and reports more than 800 senior placements.

The firm works exclusively on retained search, generally for roles with base salaries of $200k to $400k. It concentrates on the Sydney metro area while also recruiting nationally, and sources candidates locally and globally. Roles it has recently filled include AI Engineer, Head of AI, Applied Scientist, Principal Engineer, Head of Engineering and Principal Architect. It also handles interim leadership appointments and searches for Data and AI leaders, and sources for permanent and contract needs. Its clients range from Australian scale-ups to large global VC-funded companies.

Every retained search is led by Director Luke Singleton, who has spent more than 25 years in IT recruitment and executive search. Spark is the umbrella practice for his work, and he also partners other specialist recruiters on technology search under his own name.
