SP Associates

SP Associates is a family-owned recruitment firm formed in 1969 and based in Charlotte, North Carolina. It places officers, managers and skilled professionals in a broad range of industries, with a specialism in textile, non-woven, fiber, manufacturing, engineering and medical imaging. It is led by CEO Joel McIntyre, and says its team members all recruited before joining the executive search industry.

In textile, non-woven and fiber, the roles it fills include production, development, engineering, plant managers, chemists, quality control, field technicians and C-level executives. In medical imaging it finds endoscopy repair technicians and a lead endoscopy trainer, as well as technicians for other imaging areas such as ultrasound. Its engineering placements cover chemical, electrical, civil, mechanical and industrial functions.

The firm offers contingency-based and retainer-based recruiting, confidential executive search and contract assignments. It says it searches using multiple contacts and a large database, guided by the job openings its clients share with it.
