Sofia Broberger

Sofia Broberger runs an independent recruitment business in Sweden, built around one consultant who, in her own words, can help with all things recruitment. She has worked in recruitment since 2013 and says she still genuinely loves what she does, which is why she also shares her knowledge through workshops, by speaking at conferences and on her blog. The thought she describes as constant, there must be a better way, is what drives the work, whether that means freeing up time through automation, making a process more efficient, or finding the stellar candidate. What she offers clients is help to work smarter, not harder.

Sourcing and recruitment is the core service, and the focus is on creative and tech related roles that genuinely require sourcing, such as developers, UX and UI designers and product owners. She is available for long and short term assignments, anything from sourcing for one specific hard to fill role to building an inhouse recruitment function. Her blog describes the shape of that work in practice, including a three year assignment with Toca Boca that ended in December, an onboarding assignment at IDG Recruitment, and sourcing for Grade. The business was deliberately not set up as a traditional recruitment agency doing one off placements, but as a long term partner to clients, and more recently as an advisor across a variety of shorter assignments.

Two further services sit alongside the recruitment work. She speaks at events around the world and online, and she runs tailor made onsite workshops and coaching that combine her background in teaching with her sourcing work, on topics such as sourcing, recruitment, employer branding and storytelling.
