Små Job Med Mening

Småjob med Mening is a Danish social enterprise based in Aalborg that addresses a unique gap in the labour market: creating meaningful small jobs for people who struggle to find conventional full-time employment. The organisation has existed since 2018 and has facilitated placements for more than 750 people by connecting them with companies needing part-time or occasional work. These small jobs range from 1 to 10 hours per week, providing both employment income and renewed job identity for candidates.

The programme creates value across multiple stakeholders. For employers, småjobs solve concrete workplace tasks and alleviate workload from existing staff without requiring full-time hiring. For jobseekers on the margin of the labour market, the programme provides wages, practical work experience and renewed confidence in their ability to contribute. For municipalities, each successful placement represents cost savings in public support spending.

Småjob med Mening operates as a plug-and-play solution, making it straightforward for companies to participate in social responsibility whilst addressing genuine business needs. More than 600 companies have taken part in the programme since its launch, supported by the framework concept that a job need not be 37 hours per week to create meaningful value for both worker and employer.
