The business grew from the equipment sales of its founding owner, Duncan Macnab, a former marine electrician. He sold welding equipment to the ship repair industry, and the business moved on to supplying operators as temporary personnel. In 2017 it introduced an 18 month internship for students in HR, finance and business management.
