Rice & Co recruits recruiters in New Zealand. It places recruiters with agencies, and also recruits internal recruiters and talent acquisition professionals for in-house teams, sourced locally and globally on permanent and contract bases. It also recruits HR professionals.

Jonathan Rice founded the business in 2009 on Auckland's North Shore, after spotting a gap in the market for an agency rec-to-rec service. It moved into Auckland's CBD a year later. Sean Walters joined in 2011, launched a desk for the internal recruitment market and is now Managing Director. The company sources candidates through traditional, online, direct approach and social media methods.

Alongside placements, it offers tools for recruiters: a commission plan comparison tool, a commission plan builder, and the RICE Report, which lets recruiters anonymously compare their salary packages with others in the New Zealand recruitment industry. Jonathan Rice also co-founded the recruiter freelance platform JOYN in 2017 and the recruitment technology firm superHUMAN software in 2023.
