RAMS Skilled Trades supplies tradesmen to construction sites, focusing on the three main phases of vertical construction: electrical, mechanical and plumbing. It also places low voltage and metal and duct trades. The company was founded in 1994 as a flexible workforce provider and now describes itself as a skilled construction services company. Its tradesmen have worked on commercial, industrial, hospital, stadium, airport and distribution projects.

The company says its tradesmen pass a written exam, background check, drug test and skills test before placement. RAMS is a licensed general contractor and licensed electrical contractor, and it uses these licences to run JumpStart, a state-certified pre-apprenticeship programme. It also offers bid consulting, support with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage projects and OCIP/CCIP wrap-ups, recruitment of permanent tradesmen, and a safety and training division.

RAMS is based in Tampa and has branch offices across Florida, including Orlando, Jacksonville, Daytona Beach, Sarasota, Gainesville, Fort Myers, Deerfield Beach and Panama City Beach. It says it is the largest employer of electricians in Florida outside public utility companies, and it aims to expand across the Southeast.
