Rae Recruitment is a boutique recruitment agency that places accounting, bookkeeping and administration professionals with public practice firms in Melbourne and across Australia. It was founded in 2023 and says it draws on more than a decade of recruitment experience. It focuses exclusively on public practice recruitment and works with both firms that are hiring and candidates looking for roles.

For client firms, its services include advertising roles, candidate assessment, interview coordination, reference checks and salary negotiations, with hiring processes tailored to each business. It says it looks at long-term fit between candidate and firm rather than judging on the CV alone. It also publishes a 2026 salary guide.

The agency reports more than 125 candidates placed into public practice accounting firms, access to more than 4,000 Melbourne based public practice professionals, and a 90 per cent client retention rate.
