Profusion

Profusion is an Australian recruitment firm that specialises in financial services. It offers executive search, permanent and contract recruitment, and advisory services, working with superannuation funds, investment managers, insurers, banks, lenders, fintechs, wealth managers, platforms and professional services firms. It recruits specialist permanent and contract roles across the financial services market sectors.

Profusion was founded in 2004 by Simone Mears, Ashton Bilbie, Rod Jones and Alison Loader, and opened for business in 2005. It has offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. It merged with Primary Asset Consulting in 2014, acquired Kennedy Reid in 2023, and in 2024 acquired the Brisbane wealth management recruiter Zanetti Recruitment & Consulting.

Sydney-based private equity firm Redwood North took a material stake in the business in 2021. Mears and Bilbie remained major shareholders and Matt Bennett joined as chief executive. The company says it has one of the largest teams in Australian financial services recruitment.
