Philosophy Education

Philosophy Education is a recruitment service for London schools and education staff. It connects teachers and school support staff with early years, primary, secondary and special education schools in London, and says it aims to challenge traditional recruitment methods. It is based in London, at 3 More London Riverside, and lists itself as a GCA Framework Supplier.

The company began in 2019 under Caroline Rix and Michele Waller, who had worked together for 20 years. Suzie Butler, a trained teacher and longstanding colleague, joined them. It first focused on recruiting for primary schools. In 2021 it added consultants for secondary and special needs schools, and expanded its internal finance, resourcing and compliance teams. In 2022 it set up a specialised team for non-classroom support staff, along with a consultant training scheme for people starting a career in education recruitment. The company says its team now numbers twenty-one.
