Pertemps

Pertemps is a UK recruitment business that fills temporary and permanent roles across the country. It was founded in 1961 by Constance Watts, who opened a small office in Birmingham and at first specialised in secretarial recruitment. Carmen Watson is named as Chair of Pertemps Network Group and Steve West as chief executive.

Alongside its branch network, Pertemps has a family of specialist brands, each focused on niche recruitment, including accountancy and finance, aviation, executive search, legal, and medical and care. It says it works across most industries, among them driving and transport, logistics and distribution, healthcare and social care. It also provides managed service contracts and driver training through the Pertemps Driving Academy, launched in 2014. In 2012 it merged with Network Group.

It reports more than 200 branches, more than 30,000 temps per week, more than 12,000 permanent placements a year and more than 6,000 customers.
