PERSONA staff

PERSONA staff is a recruitment and HR consulting company based in Durbanville, in South Africa's Western Cape. It recruits permanent staff at all levels for businesses across all industry sectors. Its recruitment work covers candidate selection, interviewing, salary surveys, reference checks and the preparation of job descriptions.

Engeline Hitchcock founded the company in March 2008 as a home-based boutique agency. In March 2026 she transferred ownership to a team member who had spent 12 years with the firm, and she remains involved as a business coach and mentor.

Beyond placement, the company offers HR consulting on labour legislation, employee relations, workplace policies and organisational development. It also provides background verification, including ITC, criminal and qualification checks. For criminal record checks it takes fingerprints in its own office and submits them to SAPS, with results returned 48 hours later. Psychometric testing is available as an additional service.
