Payhour is a matchningsplattform, a matching platform, for restaurants and restaurant staff. The company describes its personalmatchning service as a digital tool through which a customer can quickly and simply book extra staff for short or longer assignments. It says it has automated the processes involved and made it safe and simple both to find extra staff and to find a new job, and it presents restaurangbemanning on demand as the core of what it does. Restaurants can connect to the platform free of charge, and staff can join at no cost as well.

The specialisation is the restaurant and service trade. Payhour helps clients find and book experienced kockar, servis and bartenders, and invites anyone with experience of service work to start working through the platform. Bookings can be made for the same day, for a vikariat covering an absence, or for an entire season, and the platform is offered to restaurants and other service units. On the candidate side it markets flexibility as the draw: workers choose whom they work for, when and where they work, gain a boost to their CV by working at well established restaurants, and can take out their pay directly in the app once a shift has finished.

Payhour operates in Sweden and publishes its site in Swedish and English. Its commercial model is built on fixed, low hourly prices with no OB supplements for unsocial hours and no hidden costs, and the company says it is cost effective because it charges clients lower hourly prices while paying its own staff better than the minimum wages applied in the industry.
