PartnerWest Staffing describes itself as headhunters specialising in executive searches. The company uses a rigorous screening process and a strong network of professional contacts to build high performance teams for its clients, and its recruiters combine market knowledge with an insider's perspective. Whether a client's requirements are local or global, PartnerWest says its team has the reach and the recruiting expertise to deliver. Because of the confidential nature of the work the firm is contractually obliged to keep its client list anonymous, and states only that it includes Fortune 500 companies as well as emerging and mid market firms.

The company's areas of focus are accounting and finance, wealth management and international search. Founder Glenn Rapp has over 20 years of experience recruiting executives for Fortune 500 companies, mid market firms and start ups, and specialises in finance, accounting, tax, internal audit and SOX, SEC reporting, treasury, revenue recognition, financial systems and M&A and corporate development positions. Before starting his own firm he worked at Xcel Group and at K-Force, where as a senior director he reached the corporate gold level of performance in his first year. Earlier in his career he was a regional director at Columbia HCA responsible for operations in Texas, South Carolina and Florida, and a principal in Triad Corporation, which launched and sold three hospital projects.

PartnerWest sets out a clear methodology. When there may be only a handful of suitable individuals in the marketplace, the firm argues, a client cannot rely on advertising or traditional recruiting, because the chance the right candidate sees an advertisement and acts on it is remote. Many of the best candidates are not actively looking for a new employer but may be open minded if presented with the right opportunity, so a professional headhunter is needed to identify all potential candidates and market the opportunity discreetly and skilfully.
