Paragon Alpha is a recruitment firm that places trading and technology talent with hedge funds. It works exclusively on the buy side, focusing on multi-strategy platforms and select proprietary trading firms, and says it does not recruit for banks, asset managers or private equity firms.

Its consultants specialise by strategy and asset class, covering quantitative strategies, discretionary macro, equities, commodities, technology and risk management. Typical roles include quantitative researchers and developers, portfolio managers, traders, engineers and risk officers. For funds it offers retained and executive search, market intelligence and capital introductions, connecting emerging managers with allocators. It also publishes quarterly market intelligence under the name Alpha Watch Tower and runs Alpha Academy, which trains new hedge fund recruiters.

The company has offices in London, its headquarters, and New York, with coverage across EMEA, the UAE and APAC. It reports a team of 24 specialists and more than 35 years of combined expertise. Paragon Alpha also gives a portion of its profits to charities in Ireland and Africa.
