Oryx People

Oryx People is an Australian owned and operated boutique talent acquisition and advisory practice. It manages recruitment assignments across a number of industry sectors, with particular expertise in the automotive industry, and also offers values and personality-based assessments and advisory services covering career development, coaching and mentoring.

The company was established in 2005 as the recruitment arm of de JAGER Executive Search, and in June 2019 the executive search expertise was consolidated into Oryx People. Kris de Jager is Managing Director, with Ross Imray and Sharon Henderson as directors. It says its team has over 50 years of combined recruitment and industry experience.

In automotive it covers passenger and commercial vehicles, trucks and buses, motorcycles, component manufacturers, caravans and marine, and machinery and heavy equipment, serving importers, distributors, manufacturers, retail dealers, finance, fleet and leasing companies, and suppliers. Outside automotive it carries out executive search at C-suite and board level in segments including FMCG, industrial and life sciences. It works in Australia and internationally, has offices in Sydney and Melbourne, and is a member of the RCSA.
