Opto Talent

Opto Talent is a recruitment and advisory firm that works with venture-backed Enterprise AI companies across North America and EMEA. It launched in 2024 and says its aim is to help these firms move from founder-led sales to structured, scalable go-to-market organisations. It has offices in London and New York.

The business is organised around three pillars: search, advisory and investment introductions. Search covers permanent hires from executive leadership to individual contributor level, focused on go-to-market talent. Advisory work includes hiring roadmaps, sales strategy, business planning and raise decks, and the firm also provides non-executive directors, advisors and fractional leaders. Through its investor and VC network it introduces tech scale-ups to investment partners.

Opto Talent is led by four directors, Tom Morris, Scott Sutherland, Aidan Barton and Samuel Wheeler, who say they have over 35 years of recruitment experience between them. The firm reports that 96% of its placements come from headhunting or its exclusive network, that it averages five interviews per hire, and that 97.1% of candidates pass probation.
