Optimum Consulting

Optimum Consulting is a recruitment and HR consulting firm based in Brisbane, with a second office in Melbourne. Its first office opened in Brisbane in January 2003 under the name Optimum Recruitment, and it adopted its current name in 2012. It was started by owner and managing director Brad McMahon.

On the recruitment side, it fills roles in engineering and construction, supply chain, logistics and manufacturing, accounting, financial services, superannuation, IT and digital, administration and office support, and professional services. It also offers executive search and contract recruitment. In financial services its work covers areas such as governance, risk and compliance, credit analysis, insurance claims, treasury and funds management. It acquired Kyte Financial Recruitment in November 2022.

Its consulting services include employee experience, workplace foundations, an outsourced HR team, a performance framework, outplacement and employment law. It also runs its own technology platforms, including Fllair, an online career support platform. The company says at least 90% of its business is repeat business, and that its quality management system covering its employment services is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
