NoDa Recruiting is a one-person recruitment business run by Kevin Sowinski. Being a single operator is presented as the point rather than a limitation: he says that as a one-person operation he is fully focused on the individual needs of each client to ensure a successful partnership. The commercial model is contingent, and he is paid only once someone with the right skillset is hired, which means the single metric he works to is finding individuals who will be a long-term asset to a client's team.

The recruiting spans a range of different industries, specifically operations, finance and accounting, engineering, software development and digital media. Kevin began his recruitment career in contingent search, where he had success placing candidates at companies including American Express, Boeing, Caterpillar and BNY Mellon. With a passion for connecting top talent with great companies, he then moved into independent recruitment in order to serve both clients and candidates more directly.

The business operates from Charlotte, North Carolina, and its founder is a native of Greensboro and a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill. His stated approach is long term for both sides of the market, building relationships in order to match the right people with the right opportunities rather than filling a vacancy and moving on.
