Agoge

Agoge is a New Zealand recruitment agency founded in 2003 by Andrew Nicol in Hamilton, originally to provide recruitment services to the Transport and Logistics industry. It now describes itself as a full service human resource partner for businesses across New Zealand, with branches in Auckland, Waikato and Bay of Plenty, Wellington and Manawatu, and Christchurch, and a national support office in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

Its industrial recruitment arm supplies unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled blue-collar staff through labour hire, full service recruitment, permanent placement, temporary staff, temp to perm and contingent labour. Sectors include agriculture, mining, manufacturing, construction, wholesale trade, and transport and warehousing. Roles include forklift drivers, machine operators, truck drivers and warehouse managers. Its professional recruitment service covers white-collar roles from receptionists through to legal and finance.

Agoge operates as a social business. Under its One for One initiative it provides one month of clean water for a person in Cambodia for every week worked by each of its onsite staff. It is a sister company to the HR businesses coHired and Radical HR.
