Next International

Next International is a Canadian executive search and workforce access firm. It was founded in 2007 by Will van Middendorp, who had previously held leadership roles with two of the world's largest global staffing firms in the Netherlands and Canada. The firm is based in Calgary, Alberta, and Naramata, British Columbia.

It serves ownership groups, boards and executive leadership teams in industrial, construction and engineering organisations across Canada. The firm says it does not operate as a volume agency and that its engagements are structured and retained. Its work follows the Ethical Talent Thief Framework, created by the founder, which involves mapping the market, building relationships, capturing workforce intelligence and activating with ownership.

Three services are offered. The Talent Infrastructure Program builds a pipeline of professional talent before vacancies exist, through ongoing market mapping and bi-weekly briefings. Fractional Recruitment Services provide embedded hiring across several active roles at once. Engaged Executive Search is a retained service for a single role at manager, director, VP or C-suite level.
