NewCrew is a retained recruiting firm that helps construction, architecture and engineering firms hire exceptional people, partnering with what it calls values-driven firms powering the projects that build America. The company was founded by its owner, Kaitlin Hagan, who says that seven years ago she watched her parents' construction firm struggle to find reliable people, and that this became NewCrew's mission: to place exceptional candidates at exceptional built world firms.

There are two service lines. Leadership Search finds leaders who live a client's values and turn vision into action, built around learning the client's culture and operation first and then constructing a tailored search around the person actually needed. Skilled Trade Hiring covers field talent, with every candidate rigorously screened for stability, character and long-term fit before they ever reach the client's desk. Both are aimed at firms across the built environment, from structural engineering practices to electrical contractors and fleet operations.

The team is based in Atlanta and partners with firms nationwide, including in remote markets where clients say they had struggled to hire on their own. Clients describe the difference as a focus on fit and quality rather than a high volume of resumes. Malory Atkinson, co-founder and managing partner at Shear Structural Engineering, credits NewCrew with securing engineering hires that met both technical and cultural needs. Nick Oney, director of fleet at XKIG, says the company consistently delivers qualified candidates in markets where hiring is hard, leaving his team picking the best candidate rather than one who could simply do the job. Mahsa Poorak, chief executive of Southern Electric, says the team did a deep dive to understand the company and the kinds of people who would fit it best. The pitch to clients is to hire with intention so a team can scale with confidence.
